I’m considering upgrading our fire alarm system, and I’ve come across the Vesda VES-A10-P in the ‘New Offerings’ category. It seems to be replacing the VLS-214. Can anyone provide some insights into the differences between these two models and whether the upgrade is worth it?

The Vesda VES-A10-P is indeed a newer model that offers several improvements over the VLS-214. Firstly, it boasts enhanced sensitivity and detection capabilities, allowing for earlier detection of smoke particles. Additionally, it features advanced networking options for better integration with other fire alarm systems and building management systems. The VES-A10-P also offers improved reliability and reduced maintenance requirements compared to its predecessor. Overall, if you’re looking to upgrade your fire alarm system for improved performance and reliability, the Vesda VES-A10-P would be a worthwhile investment.
