I’m currently using the Edwards EST SIGA-PHS detector, but I’ve heard about the new SIGA-PHD model in the “New Offerings” category. Can someone tell me about the key differences between the two models and whether it’s worth upgrading?

Certainly! The Edwards EST SIGA-PHD is an upgraded version of the SIGA-PHS detector, offering improved features and performance. While both detectors are photoelectric smoke detectors designed for early fire detection, the SIGA-PHD introduces enhancements such as advanced detection algorithms for better false alarm rejection and sensitivity to a wider range of smoke types. Additionally, the SIGA-PHD incorporates the latest technology for improved communication with fire alarm control panels, ensuring faster and more reliable response in case of a fire event. Overall, if you’re looking to enhance the effectiveness of your fire detection system, upgrading to the SIGA-PHD would be a wise choice.
