I’ve been using the Silent Knight SK-DUCT for a while now, but I see there’s a new offering called the SK-DUCT-W. Can you tell me what improvements or changes have been made with this new model compared to the older one? Is it worth upgrading?

Absolutely! The SK-DUCT-W is indeed a new offering from Silent Knight, and it brings some notable enhancements over its predecessor, the SK-DUCT. Firstly, the ‘W’ in SK-DUCT-W stands for wireless, indicating that this model now supports wireless communication, which can significantly simplify installation and maintenance, especially in areas where running wires is challenging or costly. Additionally, the SK-DUCT-W features improved sensitivity and reliability in smoke detection, ensuring faster and more accurate detection of potential fire hazards. Overall, if you’re looking for enhanced performance and easier installation, upgrading to the SK-DUCT-W is definitely worth considering.
