I recently installed a Power Sonic PDC-12260 rechargeable sealed lead-acid battery in my fire alarm system, but I’m experiencing some issues. The system doesn’t seem to be holding a charge properly, and I’m concerned about its reliability in case of a power outage. Any troubleshooting tips?

First, ensure that the battery is properly connected and that all connections are tight and secure. Loose connections can lead to charging issues.

Next, check the voltage output of the charger to ensure it’s within the specified range for the battery. If the charger is faulty or not providing sufficient voltage, it could result in inadequate charging.

Additionally, monitor the temperature of the battery during charging. Excessive heat can indicate a problem with the charger or battery itself.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it’s possible that the battery may be defective and in need of replacement. Contact the manufacturer or supplier for further assistance or warranty support.
