I recently installed an Edwards EST GL1RN-HDVMC horn-strobe in a building, but I’m experiencing some issues with it. The strobe seems dim, and the horn isn’t as loud as it should be. I’ve checked the wiring and connections, but everything seems fine. What could be the problem, and how can I troubleshoot it?

It’s possible that the issue lies with the power source or the setting of the device itself. Firstly, ensure that the voltage supplied to the horn-strobe matches its specifications. If the voltage is correct, try adjusting the candela settings on the device. Sometimes, the candela setting might be too low, causing the strobe to appear dim and the horn to sound quieter than expected. If adjusting the candela doesn’t solve the issue, check if the device is in temporal or steady mode. In temporal mode, the device might appear dimmer due to the intermittent flashing of the strobe. Finally, if all else fails, it’s advisable to consult the user manual or contact technical support for further assistance.
