Sure! Installing the Silent Knight SK-PHOTO-W smoke detector is relatively straightforward. First, ensure that you have turned off the power to the circuit where you’ll be installing the detector. Then, remove the mounting base from the detector by twisting it counterclockwise. Next, using the provided screws and anchors, attach the mounting base to the ceiling or wall at the desired location. Make sure the base is securely fastened.
Once the base is in place, connect the wiring to the terminal blocks on the base according to the wiring diagram included with the detector. Typically, you’ll have a hot (black), neutral (white), and ground (green) wire to connect. After wiring, align the detector with the mounting base and twist it clockwise to secure it in place.
Finally, restore power to the circuit and test the detector by pressing the test button. If the alarm sounds, you’re good to go! Remember to test your smoke detectors regularly to ensure they’re functioning properly.
