I’m considering replacing my Edwards EST SIGA2-HRS heat detector with the SIGA-HRD model. Can anyone provide guidance on the installation process for the new model?

Absolutely! The installation process for the Edwards EST SIGA-HRD heat detector is quite straightforward, especially if you’re replacing a SIGA2-HRS. Since both detectors are from the same manufacturer and share similar mounting configurations, you can expect minimal hassle during the transition.

Firstly, ensure the power to the system is turned off to avoid any electrical hazards. Then, remove the SIGA2-HRS detector by gently twisting it counterclockwise and pulling it from its base. Next, attach the base of the SIGA-HRD detector to the existing mounting plate, ensuring it’s securely fastened.

Once the base is in place, align the detector with the base and twist it clockwise until it clicks into position. Ensure the detector is flush with the ceiling or wall for optimal performance.

Finally, restore power to the system and perform a functionality test to confirm proper installation. If you encounter any difficulties or have specific questions during the process, feel free to reach out for further assistance. We’re here to help!
