Hi all, I’m in need of some advice. I currently have a Kidde KI-PD optical smoke detector installed in my home, but it’s time for a replacement. I’ve been considering the Kidde KI-OSD (Intelligent Optical Smoke Detector) as its successor. Can anyone share their experience with this model? Is it a suitable replacement for the KI-PD?

Certainly! The Kidde KI-OSD is indeed a suitable replacement for the KI-PD. It’s an intelligent optical smoke detector designed to provide advanced fire detection capabilities. With features like advanced signal processing and self-diagnostics, it offers reliable performance and early detection of smoke. Plus, its compatibility with existing Kidde systems makes installation hassle-free. Overall, it’s a solid choice for upgrading your home’s fire detection system.
