    Hi all,

I’ve been experiencing some issues with my Gamewell-FCI SLP-BLK fire alarm panel. It seems to be giving off false alarms intermittently, and I’m not sure what’s causing it. Has anyone else encountered similar problems with this model? Any troubleshooting tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Hey there,

False alarms with the Gamewell-FCI SLP-BLK can be frustrating, but there are a few things you can check to troubleshoot the issue:

Sensor Calibration: Ensure that all sensors are properly calibrated and free from any obstructions or contaminants that could trigger false alarms.

Wiring Check: Inspect the wiring connections to ensure they are secure and properly connected. Loose connections or damaged wiring can cause intermittent issues.

Software Update: Check if there are any available software updates for the panel. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve bugs or glitches that may be causing false alarms.

Environmental Factors: Consider any environmental factors that could be triggering false alarms, such as temperature fluctuations or excessive dust or humidity in the area.

Zone Isolation: Try isolating specific zones to narrow down the source of the false alarms. This can help pinpoint any problematic areas or devices.

If you’ve tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, it may be best to contact a certified technician for further assistance. They can perform more advanced diagnostics and repairs if necessary.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
