Remove the old detector (if applicable) and disconnect any wiring. Next, mount the new detector base to the ceiling or wall using appropriate anchors and screws. Make sure the base is securely attached and level. Then, connect the wiring from the building to the terminals on the base, following the wiring diagram provided with the detector. Once the wiring is connected, twist the detector head onto the base until it clicks into place. Finally, restore power to the fire alarm system and test the detector to ensure it’s functioning correctly.
