Hey folks! I recently purchased an Edwards Signaling EGCF-VMH strobe for my fire alarm system. Could someone provide guidance on how to properly install it?

Hi Joshua, great choice with the Edwards Signaling EGCF-VMH!Sure! Here’s a quick guide for installing the Edwards Signaling EGCF-VMH strobe:

First, ensure that the power to your fire alarm system is turned off to prevent any accidents during installation.
Select a suitable location for mounting the strobe. It should be placed in a visible area, preferably on the ceiling or high on the wall.
Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the strobe to the chosen location. Make sure it is firmly attached and not loose.
Once the strobe is securely mounted, connect the wiring according to the system’s specifications. Ensure proper polarity to avoid any electrical issues.
After the wiring is connected, turn on the power to the fire alarm system and test the strobe to ensure it is functioning correctly.
Finally, label the strobe appropriately with the ‘FIRE’ marking provided to indicate its purpose in case of an emergency.
Following these steps should help you install your Edwards Signaling EGCF-VMH strobe properly and ensure it functions effectively as part of your fire alarm system.
