I’m experiencing issues with my Edwards EST GCF-S2 Ceiling Speaker in my fire alarm system. The speaker doesn’t seem to produce any sound during tests or alarms. What could be the possible reasons behind this and how can I troubleshoot it?

The lack of sound from your Edwards EST GCF-S2 Ceiling Speaker could be due to several factors. Firstly, ensure that the speaker is receiving power and that the wiring connections are secure. If the power and connections seem fine, then the issue might lie within the speaker itself, possibly a malfunctioning driver or amplifier.

To troubleshoot further, you can try testing the speaker with another known-working device to see if it produces sound. If it still doesn’t work, it’s likely a problem with the speaker unit itself and may require replacement or professional servicing.

Additionally, check the fire alarm control panel to ensure that it is sending the proper signals to activate the speaker during tests or alarms. If all settings appear correct and the issue persists, contacting a qualified technician or reaching out to the manufacturer’s support team for assistance would be advisable.
