I recently installed an Apollo 58000-700APO fire alarm panel, but I’m experiencing some issues with it. The system seems to be giving false alarms intermittently, and I’m not sure what could be causing it. Can anyone provide troubleshooting tips or advice on how to resolve this issue?

    Hi there,

False alarms can be quite frustrating, but there are a few common causes to check for when troubleshooting your Apollo 58000-700APO panel:

Sensor Placement: Ensure that smoke and heat detectors are installed in appropriate locations, away from sources of airflow, steam, or dust that could trigger false alarms.

Environmental Factors: Extreme temperature fluctuations or humidity levels can sometimes trigger false alarms. Make sure the environment in which the panel is installed is within the specified operating conditions.

Interference: Check for any sources of electromagnetic interference near the panel or wiring, such as large electrical equipment or radio transmitters, which could inadvertently trigger alarms.

Faulty Equipment: Occasionally, a faulty detector or wiring connection can cause false alarms. Inspect all detectors and wiring connections for any signs of damage or malfunction.

Programming Errors: Review the programming settings on the panel to ensure they are configured correctly for your specific application. Incorrect settings could potentially lead to false alarms.

By systematically checking these potential issues, you should be able to narrow down the cause of the false alarms and take appropriate corrective action.
