I have a Potter CPS-24 installed in my building, but it seems to be malfunctioning. It’s not giving any alarms even when there’s smoke around. Can someone help me troubleshoot this issue?

Sure, let’s start by checking a few things. Firstly, ensure that the detector is receiving power and that the wiring connections are secure. If the power is confirmed, try cleaning the detector chamber with compressed air to remove any dust or debris that might be obstructing the sensor. Additionally, verify if there’s any obstruction in front of the detector that could be preventing smoke from reaching it. If after these steps the issue persists, it might be a sign of a faulty detector that needs replacement. Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance!
