I recently purchased a pack of 10 Vesda 144-013 Conical Sample Points for my fire alarm system. However, after installing them, I’m encountering some issues. The system doesn’t seem to be detecting smoke properly. What could be the problem?

At firealarm.com, we understand the importance of reliable fire detection systems. If you’re experiencing issues with your Vesda 144-013 Conical Sample Points, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

Check Installation: Ensure that the sample points are installed correctly, with proper alignment and connection to the 10mm OD tube. Any misalignment or loose connections can affect the system’s performance.

Inspect for Obstructions: Verify that there are no obstructions obstructing the airflow into the sample points. Dust, debris, or physical barriers can impede smoke detection.

Review System Settings: Double-check the settings on your fire alarm system to ensure that it is calibrated properly to detect smoke within the designated parameters.

Test Individual Sample Points: If the issue persists, try testing each sample point individually to identify if there’s a specific malfunctioning unit causing the problem.

If you’ve followed these steps and are still experiencing issues, it may be necessary to consult with a professional technician to further diagnose and address any underlying issues with your fire alarm system.
