I recently installed a Power Sonic PG-12V65-M6 rechargeable sealed lead acid battery in my fire alarm system, but it doesn’t seem to be functioning properly. What could be the issue, and how can I troubleshoot it?

Firstly, ensure that the battery is properly connected to the fire alarm system. Check the terminals for any signs of corrosion or loose connections. If everything looks fine physically, the next step is to test the voltage of the battery using a multimeter. A fully charged 12V battery should read around 13.5 to 13.8 volts. If the voltage is significantly lower, it could indicate that the battery is not holding a charge properly and may need to be replaced. Additionally, make sure that the battery is being charged properly by the charger or charging circuit in the fire alarm system. If the battery appears to be fine but the system is still not functioning correctly, it’s possible that there could be issues with other components of the fire alarm system, and you may need to consult a professional technician for further diagnosis.
