Hi all, I’m considering replacing my current Edwards Signaling EG1F-VM with the newer EG1VWF model. Has anyone had experience with this upgrade? Any significant differences or advantages to the EG1VWF that I should be aware of?

At firealarm.com, we’ve extensively tested the Edwards Signaling EG1VWF as part of our evaluation process for new offerings. One notable improvement over the EG1F-VM is the enhanced weatherproofing feature of the EG1VWF, denoted by the “WF” in its model name. This makes it better suited for outdoor installations or environments prone to moisture or harsh weather conditions. Additionally, the EG1VWF offers improved connectivity options and expanded compatibility with modern fire alarm systems. Overall, if you’re looking for a more robust and versatile solution compared to the EG1F-VM, the EG1VWF is definitely worth considering.
