Hello everyone, I recently purchased a Potter PAD200-PD and I’m encountering some issues with it. Whenever I try to test it, the alarm doesn’t sound. Could someone please advise on what might be causing this problem?

    Hi there,

It sounds like there might be a couple of potential issues causing your Potter PAD200-PD not to sound during testing. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Power Supply: Ensure that the device is receiving power from a reliable source. Sometimes, issues with power supply can prevent the alarm from sounding.

Verify Wiring: Double-check the wiring connections to ensure they are secure and properly connected. Loose or faulty wiring can disrupt the alarm function.

Inspect Test Settings: Make sure you are initiating the test correctly according to the device’s manual. Incorrect test settings or procedures can lead to a failure in triggering the alarm.

Test with Different Methods: Attempt to test the device using various methods (e.g., manual test button, remote test feature) to determine if the issue lies with a specific testing mechanism.

Review User Manual: Refer to the user manual for specific troubleshooting steps provided by the manufacturer. It may contain additional insights or solutions tailored to your device.

If you’ve gone through these steps and are still experiencing issues, it might be best to contact Potter’s customer support for further assistance or consider consulting a professional technician to diagnose and resolve the problem efficiently.
