Hey folks, I’m installing a Gamewell-FCI HPF-PS6B power supply for a fire alarm system, but I’m not sure about the wiring. Can someone provide guidance on how to correctly wire this unit?

Hey Daniel, happy to help! First, ensure you’ve reviewed the manufacturer’s installation manual thoroughly. Typically, the HPF-PS6B requires connection to both AC power and battery backup. Make sure to follow local electrical codes for wiring practices and consult with a licensed electrician if needed. Generally, you’ll connect the AC power source to the terminals labeled “AC In” and the battery to the terminals labeled “Battery In.” Remember to properly size the battery for your system’s standby power requirements. Once wired correctly, perform a thorough system test to ensure everything is functioning as expected. If you encounter any specific challenges during the installation process, feel free to ask for assistance!
