Hi everyone, I have a Siemens S-HP-MCS control panel in my fire alarm system, and it’s giving me some trouble. I’m thinking about replacing it, and I heard about the SET-MC-R as a possible replacement. Has anyone had experience with this replacement, and can you share your thoughts?

Hi Caleb, the Siemens S-HP-MCS control panel is a reliable unit, but I understand that sometimes you need to make upgrades or replacements. The SET-MC-R is indeed a suitable replacement for the S-HP-MCS. It’s a versatile control panel that offers modern features and compatibility with existing fire alarm devices. The transition from the S-HP-MCS to the SET-MC-R is generally straightforward, especially if your wiring and devices are in good condition. You might need to adjust some programming and reconfigure your system, but it’s a worthwhile upgrade in terms of performance and functionality. If you have any specific questions or need guidance on the replacement process, feel free to ask!
